I am a member of several professional societies as I like to know what is going on in the world of soil science. There is another reason, less noble perhaps. Many national soil science societies publish journals and for members the subscription rate to their journals is greatly reduced. And as we all know: economics rule the world so I am a dedicated member of these societies:
